Tasting at Fiorelli grocery store in Naples
It seemed as if it were Saturday night and not a weekday for those who were invited for the first tasting of Fontanarosa Saffron in Naples, at Fiorelli Store.
The scent of risotto with saffron, cleverly cooked by the chef Alessandro, attracted the visitors spreading the risotto scent in the air. The host was the lawyer Mauro Gambini d’Aragona, scholar of modern history, who combines his love for modern history with his agricultural company founded on his family’s farms.
He was giving kisses and hugs to all the visitors and talking about the qualities of his saffron and Carnaroli rice on the occasion of his friend from Piemonte, Igiea Adami Zampaglione, owner of the rice manufacturing company in Terreamano.
In fact, the best saffron in Italy is not grown only in the valleys of Abbruzzo or on the coasts of Sardegna. It is classified as first category “red gold” The Fontanarosa Saffron.
